Welcome to UnrulyECO

An educational green living community for eco-conscious people looking for a little guidance on affordable green living ideas.

We're all green here

In this day and age, it’s getting harder and harder to not feel jaded by the growing threat of climate change.

But, recycling and using reusable grocery bags just never feels like enough. So, it’s my personal goal to transition to a zero-waste lifestyle and bring all of you along for the ride.

UnrulyECO is a green living community that will follow my personal journey to living a green lifestyle, while providing tips, tricks, and challenges along the way to help you transition your own home to zero waste without breaking the bank or stressing you out.

follow my journey

Hi, I’m Amber! I’m a single professional living in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan with my two fur monsters, Hemingway and Emerson. This blog is the embodiment of my mission to eliminate waste and lifestyle choices that negatively impact the environment by 2021 or bust.

Fair warning my fellow greenlings, you’re going to see me at my least photogenic and you’ll definitely see a cat butt or two. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

ECO-FRIENDS IN TRAINING

When you stalk us on the internet you can expect to be bombarded by pics (and really bad video) of my unruly journey down the green living rabbit hole and favorite low-cost, low-waste eco hacks that I think you’ll love.

We will focus on using locally available and affordable options to make your lifestyle more eco-friendly when you live in a small town or a more rural community that may not have access to the convenience of environmentally-friendly options, like Whole Foods.
